1. What we collect
We store only what is required to run FetchMark: your account details (email and authentication identifiers), the pages you choose to save (link, title, archived text and images, tags, highlights and notes), any reading lists you create, and basic technical records such as error logs. If you subscribe to beta updates we also keep that email address. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data or the contents of your library.
2. Why we hold it
Account data — to create your account, sign you in, and keep your library private to you. This is necessary to provide the service you asked for (contract).
Saved pages, lists, highlights and notes — to power the reader view, offline reading, search, AI summaries and Markdown export. Also necessary to provide the service.
Beta update emails — sent only to people who asked for them, on the basis of consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying or writing to support.
Error and usage records — to keep FetchMark working and spot abuse (legitimate interests). Anonymous, aggregated website statistics load only if you accept the cookie banner.
3. How long we keep it
Account and library data — kept until you delete the item or your account. Deleting your account removes your records from our live database straight away.
Encrypted backups — residual copies are purged on our standard rotation, within 30 days of deletion.
Beta update emails — kept until you ask to be removed.
Error logs and support emails — kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
4. Who else can see it
FetchMark runs on a small set of providers, each handling only the part of the service it is there for, under its own privacy commitments:
Supabase — database, authentication and file storage for your account and saved pages.
Cloudflare — hosting and delivery of the website and the service that fetches pages you save.
Resend — sending account and update emails, and receiving pages you forward to your private save-by- email address.
Google (Gemini via Lovable AI Gateway) — generating the summary of an article, only when you ask for one.
Google Analytics — anonymous, aggregated website statistics, loaded only after you accept the cookie banner.
We never give these providers permission to use your library for their own purposes, and we do not share your data with advertisers.
5. Your library is yours
You can export any archived article as a Markdown file at any time, and you can delete individual articles or your entire account whenever you choose. You may also ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, or for it to be corrected or erased, by writing to support.
6. Security
Account credentials are handled through industry-standard authentication. Traffic between your browser and FetchMark is encrypted in transit. While no online service can promise perfect security, we work to keep the surface area small and the data we hold minimal.
7. Contact
Questions about this policy, data access requests, or deletion requests can be sent to support@fetchmarkapp.com from the email address associated with your FetchMark account. We respond to legitimate requests within a reasonable timeframe.
