Bookmark archiver

Archive your bookmarks before the links die.

FetchMark saves the article behind every link — text and images — into a private, searchable archive that stays readable long after the original page is gone.

Bookmarks break. Archives don't.

A bookmark is only a pointer. Pages move, sites shut down, articles get rewritten, and services close — Pocket itself shut down in 2025. Years later, a big share of saved links lead nowhere.

FetchMark archives the article behind each link: the readable text, headings and images, stored as your own copy.

How FetchMark archives your bookmarks

Saving takes one click; the archiving happens for you.

  • Save from the web app, the Chrome extension, or by email.
  • FetchMark strips ads and clutter and keeps the article itself.
  • Images are downloaded and stored alongside the text.
  • Everything becomes full-text searchable and readable offline.
  • Export your whole archive as Markdown at any time — it is yours.

Bookmarks and archive, side by side

Not every link needs a full copy. FetchMark keeps a Bookmarks section for quick references and a Library for archived articles, so you choose what gets preserved.

No server to run

Self-hosted archivers are powerful but need a computer, storage and upkeep. FetchMark gives you the same peace of mind without any setup — it works in any browser and installs as an app on your phone.

Frequently asked questions

What is a bookmark archiver?

A bookmark archiver saves a copy of the page behind each bookmark, not just its address. If the site goes offline or changes, you still have the content.

How is FetchMark different from ArchiveBox?

ArchiveBox is self-hosted software you install and run yourself. FetchMark is a ready-made web app and Chrome extension: sign in, save, and your archive is searchable straight away.

Can I archive my existing browser bookmarks?

Yes. Export your bookmarks from Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Pocket or Raindrop and upload the file on FetchMark's import page — up to 1,000 links at a time.

Does it save images too?

Yes. Images in an article are downloaded and stored with your copy. If an image cannot be saved, FetchMark marks it so you know.

Can every page be archived?

Most articles can. Some sites block automated copying or hide content behind a login; FetchMark keeps those as bookmarks and warns you when it could only copy part of a page.
